Our Mission
Mission Statement
Oak Hills Church exists to invite people to experience the reality of life in the Kingdom of God.
We have no desire to be the biggest, the fanciest or the most attractive. We’re not really into all the bells and whistles of church life. But we are borderline fanatical about introducing people to a life of abundance in Christ and when you get right down to it, this is the desperate cry of our culture.
Key Components of Our Mission
We were created to live this way so it is the best way for us to live. It’s not oppressive or burdensome but rather, it is the life we’ve always wanted.
The result of living in the Kingdom of God is the transformation of our character to be more like Jesus.
Spiritual formation is a life-long process of growth and struggle.
Spiritual formation is a joint effort between God and us; God works and we cooperate with His Spirit to become people in whom the character of Christ is more fully formed.
Relationships with a few other people who are serious about spiritual formation are essential.
The purpose of our programs, ministries, relationships and activities is to stimulate spiritual formation.
