California Against Slavery

A small grass roots organization is promoting a Human Trafficking Initiative that needs at least 600,000 voter signatures by March 31st in order to get on the November 2010 California Ballot. The initiative would deter traffickers with stiffer criminal penalties, aid district attorneys in prosecution, increase protection for victims, and mandate human trafficking training for law enforcement officers. Check their website http://www.californiaagainstslavery.org/. To sign the petitions, stop by the Missional Living Booth after the service.

Sacramento Life Center (Pro-Life Pregnancy Clinic)

Are you a man who can volunteer 4-6 hours per week to help save lives? If you are also willing to be trained to counsel the fathers of the preborn children, that is a big plus. Excellent driving record and valid California license required.
