Hospitality Ministries

At Oak Hills, we place a great emphasis on ensuring that people coming to our campus feel welcomed and experience a warm and friendly environment.  We do that through a team of friendly ushers and greeters, through our Coffee Bar servers (ask for a complimentary specialty drink if you’re a first-timer!), through the serving of gourmet meals at many of our special events, and also through parking and security teams.  If you have the gift of hospitality and would like to join us, we’d love to talk to you.

Service Opportunities

Welcome Team

This warm and hospitable group serves each week during the weekend services.  They offer a friendly handshake and assist people to their seats, as well as partner with the IMPACT Team to create an atmosphere that invites people to enter in and prepare their hearts for worship.

In addition, usher and greeter teams are available for special events such as concerts and plays, and special services. Ministry teams also gather on a regular basis for team meetings, community, and fun! Volunteers generally serve on a team twice per month. Common Grounds Coffee Bar

Common Grounds, our in-house coffee bar serves fresh coffee and specialty drinks at each service and for special events. The coffee bar is a great place to serve and make new friends. Contact Rick Leary  at rick.leary@oakhills.org, or stop by the coffee bar for more information.

Kitchen Team

This fine group of behind-the-scenes volunteers cook and serve meals for a wide variety of church events. Our recently finished kitchen means lots of new opportunities to get involved. You don’t even need to know how to cook to help! People are also needed for set up and clean up. Maybe you just have a great recipe for large groups? We could use that too! So whether you are a master chef or dishwasher or somewhere in between, we have a place for you. Contact Rick Leary at rick.leary@oakhills.org for more information.

Parking Team

Often called the “Gridlock Greeters,” these folks are there rain or shine to greet you as you enter the parking lot on Sunday morning and for other special events. If you can smile and wave a flag, we’ve got a place for you! Team members typically serve one Sunday a month. Contact Rick Leary at rick.leary@oakhills.org for more information.

Security Team

While you sit in the service each week, a team of individuals watch the parking lot and patrol our campus. The purpose of the security team is to insure the security of our vehicles and the safety of individuals moving about. Watch for the golf cart…they may even offer you a ride if you’re running late!
