TUESDAY MORNING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY // Started 09.11 9:30AM // Room 201

In this 8-week study facilitated by our Missional Living Coordinator, Emily Hooey, and based on David Fitch’s book Faithful Presence we’ll explore how to “embrace the call to re-imagine the church as the living embodiment of Christ, dwelling in and reflecting God’s faithful presence to a world that desperately needs more of it”. There’s still time to join! Click here to find out more and to register. Childcare is available through registration. Please purchase the book ahead of time via Amazon or the Folsom Barnes & Noble and read the first two chapters.

Calling all runners, walkers and those who love to cheer! Join Oak Hills to help fight human trafficking. 3Strands Global Foundation provides human trafficking prevention education programs in schools and helps reintegrate victims of trafficking back into society through employment. Your participation supports prevention and reintegration! To join the Oak Hills team or to volunteer please visit 3strandsglobalfoundation.org.

But why wait until September? Join a community running group now! Of course there is value in training, but the relationships that are built while running or walking are life-giving and a great example of welcoming God into everyday life. Find out more and sign up here. Running groups have started, but are open up until the run!

The school year is fast approaching, and Family Ministries is getting back in the swing of things! We are looking for volunteers for nursery through high school, and we’d love to have you join us! If you could serve in some capacity, we’d like to hear from you. Please contact Pastor Colleen Gray at colleen.gray@oakhills.org.

We need volunteers for this very important behind-the-scenes ministry. The commitment would be once every 2-3 months and/or special events and would include coming in for a couple of hours the week of service to fill cups, cube bread and set up communion. Interested? Please contact Pastor Manuel at manuel.luz@oakhills.org.

If you’re someone who has a warm handshake and a friendly smile and likes to meet new people, we’d love to have you join the team. The commitment is once or twice a month and involves coming half an hour before the service to get ready. If you are interested, please contact Ashley Hansen at ashley.hansen@oakhills.org.

Who isn’t a little happier with some caffeine in their veins? Help spread the joy with a warm smile and hot cup of joe! The OHC baristas serve before both services Sunday mornings. Interested in learning more about this fun hospitality ministry? Contact Terry McTague at mctaguept@gmail.com.

CHOIR // Ongoing

If you have a heart to serve in the youth ministry but are not able to commit on a consistent basis, the Family Ministry team would love for you to consider bringing a hardy snack or light meal (or two) to a Sunday evening youth group. Having a meal together is a great time to strengthen relationships and build community. If you are interested, please CLICK HERE to sign up. For more information, please contact Jacquie deMontel at jacquie.demontel@oakhills.org.

We invite the congregation to bring a Sunday morning snack between services to the back of the auditorium and spend time in fellowship with one another. If you are willing and able, please bring a snack to share from time to time – muffins, cookies, fruit, veggies or whatever else you desire! This is a wonderful time to have a snack and spend leisurely time enjoying one another as a church family.
