The massive fires in nearby Sonoma/Santa Rosa/Napa and surrounding areas have brought terrible devastation to a great number of people. It’s our desire to be a blessing to them through some emergency support. To give a monetary gift toward that, simply select “Disaster Relief Fund” when giving through our online Giving portal, text the donation amount and “disaster” to 84321 or note it in the memo line of your check. (Questions on our text-to-give option? Check out this video for more information.) Also needed are gift cards, non-perishable food items and clothing. These can be dropped off at the church office Tuesday-Thursday or brought to the lobby on Sunday. If you would like to help with organizing the food and clothing donations, contact please contact us at 916.983.0181.

THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE // 11.22 7PM // Main Auditorium

One of our favorite services of the year! We gather in-the-round to worship, give thanks and celebrate the Lord’s Supper.

Are we really already talking about Christmas? Cappuccino Christmas is right around the corner! This women’s event for high school ladies and up is a favorite around here, and it’s a great way to extend our hospitality and the love of Jesus to women outside of our church who don’t yet know Him. This expression of hospitality is a church-wide effort—we’ll need women to sign up to hostess tables and men to sign up to be servers. This year, we’re changing some things to further uphold our hospitality and outreach values, so if you’re interested in hosting a table, it’s super important to attend one of our hostess meetings. We are also making a concerted effort to invite women from our Ministry Partner groups, as well as some of the outside groups that meet on our campus, which we are very excited about. Mark your calendars for the following dates:

The school year is fast approaching, and Family Ministries is getting back in the swing of things! We are looking for volunteers for nursery through high school, and we’d love to have you join us! If you could serve in some capacity, we’d like to hear from you. Please contact Pastor Colleen Gray at colleen.gray@oakhills.org.

We need volunteers for this very important behind-the-scenes ministry. The commitment would be once every 2-3 months and/or special events and would include coming in for a couple of hours the week of service to fill cups, cube bread and set up communion. Interested? Please contact Chris Johnson at chris.johnson@oakhills.org.

Do you love making people feel welcome?  Do you have an eye for details, or a gift for hospitality?  The Welcome Team needs new team members for the 11:00 services.  The commitment is once or twice a month, and involves coming half an hour before the service to get ready. If you are interested, contact Pastor Lorraine Rothenburg at lorraine.rothenburg@oakhills.org.

Who isn’t a little happier with some caffeine in their veins? Help spread the joy with a warm smile and hot cup of joe! The OHC baristas serve before both services Sunday mornings. Interested in learning more about this fun hospitality ministry? Contact Terry McTague at mctaguept@gmail.com.

If you have a heart to serve in the youth ministry but are not able to commit on a consistent basis, the Family Ministry team would love for you to consider bringing a light meal (or two) to a Sunday evening youth group. Having a meal together is a great time to strengthen relationships and build community. If you are interested, please CLICK HERE to sign up. For more information, please contact Jacquie deMontel at jacquie.demontel@oakhills.org.

We invite the congregation to bring a Sunday morning snack between services to the back of the auditorium and spend time in fellowship with one another. If you are willing and able, please bring a snack to share from time to time – muffins, cookies, fruit, veggies or whatever else you desire! This is a wonderful time to have a snack and spend leisurely time enjoying one another as a church family.

Christmas Around Towne is an incredible Christmas experience for local families put on by our ministry partner Powerhouse Ministries and fellow churches in the area where they can “shop” for gifts and enjoy a holiday brunch. FAIR TRADE MARKET // 11.26-12.17 // Lobby

We encourage everyone to consider how their spending affects the world. Shop after both services for Christmas gifts that come from fair trade and sustainable sources.

On Christmas Eve, we will have two different services. Our morning services at 9AM and 11AM will be a continuation of our Advent celebration, and children’s programming will be provided. That evening, come celebrate the Christ child’s arrival at our Candlight Christmas Service at 9PM. Sorry, no children’s programming will be provided at this latter service.

Let’s gather together as a church family for a single service as we prepare to ring in the new year!
