IMPACT Worship Arts
The Power of the Arts
We believe that we are creative beings because we are made in the image of a Creative God. Artistry, imagination, and excellence are then natural expressions of living out our faith in the Kingdom. IMPACT is the name of our worship arts ministries, and includes our Worship and Tech Teams, as well as our Curation Team, The Studio, and expressions of dance, drama, music, visual arts, and literary arts that occur throughout our campus and in the life of our church.
If you’d like to get involved in IMPACT, please contact Creative Arts Pastor Manuel Luz or Worship Pastor Jordan Wells.
Sunday Worship
The most visible aspect of IMPACT is our Worship Team and Tech Team. The Worship Team is comprised of musicians who are called to lead the community of believers in worship of our Triune God. Supporting this group is the Tech Team—including sound, multimedia, lighting, camera, and livestream specialists. We also use a variety of other artists on Sundays, including Worship Artists who will do live painting during services and an Ambience Team which provides decor and stage design.
Art & Soul Gallery
The Art & Soul Gallery features local visual artists throughout the year, and is located in the lobby of our Main Auditorium. Managed by our Curation Team, it is available for viewing during office hours and, of course, on Sunday mornings.
Intersections: Arts & Faith Conference
Oak Hills is the host to the Intersections: Arts & Faith Conference. This conference, sponsored by Artists in Christian Testimony, International, brings artists of faith in the Northern California area together since 2011, and has been a source of encouragement, equipping, and inspiration for artists of all kinds—musicians, writers, dancers, filmmakers, visual artists, etc. The next Intersections will happen on March 15, 2025. The Studio at Oak Hills
The Studio is a creative space where people can explore their spiritual formation through the creative experience. Spiritual formation workshops, art nights, classes, etc., all happen at our Studio. The Studio, located in Building D, is also a home to our ministry partner, New Joy Arts and Angela Houk.
Open Studio Sundays is a regular monthly session dedicated to community engagement, encouragement and sharing our creative work. Anyone exploring their creative side is invited to bring their current projects, or begin new projects as we work along-side one another. Hit the link for more info.
